Identification

14-15 cm. Red brown-grey above and pale below, black and white face pattern. The juvenile is reddish above and pale below.

Distribution

Northern Africa from Western Sahara to Egypt, northern Arabian Peninsula and Iraq.

Taxonomy

This species in monotypic. The genus Eremophila only has three species, with Horned Lark and Dunn's Lark the other two.

Habitat

Desert.
