Identification

Distribution

Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

Alta Floresta Antpitta and Snethlage's Antpitta were formerly included in this species.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.
