Identification

12cm. Brown above and buff below, chestnut wing patches and white throat. Adult males have a grey head and a white eye ring.

Distribution

North west Africa, southwest Europe from Iberia to Italy.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Dry open country with bushes.

Behaviour

3-6 eggs are laid in a nest in a bush.

The diet includes insects.
