Petronia dentata

Identification

Rufous brown upperparts, lighter brown below, dark iris, grey bill.

Distribution

Africa south of Sahara and the Arabian Peninsula.

Taxonomy

This species is either monotypic or has two subspecies (dentata and buchanani) depending on authority. Bush Patronia is sometimes placed in genus Gymnoris.

Habitat

Dry savanna and dry shrubland.
