Dendroica plumbea

Description

12 cm (4.75 inches). Medium to dark gray upperparts, two white wing-bars, a white eye-brow, dark stripe through the eye, white semi-circle below the eye and below this a light gray cheek. Underparts are pale gray with white at the centre of the breast.

Distribution and Taxonomy

Found only in Dominica and the Guadeloupe archipelago. Plumbeous Warbler is considered monotypic.

Habitat

Found most numerous in wet forests and swamps at all elevations, but occationally also in dry forests.

Behavior

Reported to be slow-moving, which I have not really noticed. Gleens insects in low to mid levels of bushes, vines, and trees. Can also eat berries. Also reported to habitually flick its tail.
