Identification
Deep pink supercilium, rump and underparts. Pink and maroon crown. Female has streaks in the upperparts and underparts.
Distribution
Himalayas in Bhutan, China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan.
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
The scientific name was formerly spelled rodochrous.
Habitat
Boreal forests and subtropical or tropical dry forests.
