Forests and scrub of Philippine Islands and Palawan.

This bird is endangered.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Forest and forest edges, beside rivers or in mangroves. Also fields and can be found high in the mountains.
Behaviour
They travel and feed in noisy groups.
Diet
Diet includes seeds, fruit and nectar, also rice and corn.
Breeding
They nest in tree holes, the clutch consisting of 2 or 3 eggs.
