Euphonia xanthogaster

Identification

Male has bright orange-yellow crown and underparts, delineated sharply with rest of body, which is bluish-black. Undertail white. Notched tail, very short bill with curved culmen. Female is much more drab - brownish/yellow overall, with diffuse orange crown.
