Identification

36-40 cm including the streamers or the tail-feathers.

Distribution

Island of Numfor in the Geelvink bay.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Swampy forests

Behaviour

It nests in termitaria.

Diet includes insects, crickets and spiders taken from the forest floor.
