Identification

Distribution

Southern Europe and north Africa:
Europe: France, Corsica, Spain, Balearic Islands, Ibiza, Italy, Sicily, Sardinia, Malta
Africa: Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt

These two species have been split by some authorities[1, 2].

Habitat

Open country with thorny bushes and heather.

Behaviour

They nest in a bush, laying 3-5 eggs.
