Identification
13.5 - 15.3 cm, the only Myiarchus flycatcher in Galapagos
Upperside mostly brown-grey with two paler wing bars and and rufous edges to primaries. Rump is brown-rufous. Underside has pale grey throat and upper breast while the rest is pale lemon-yellow. Bill is dark with paler base, dark legs, and dark brown eyes.
Variation
Galapagos flycatchers from Floreana seems to be somewhat greyer than those from other islands.
Distribution
Endemic to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Forest and shrubland, more often at lower elevation but also present at higher elevation.

Behaviour
Food includes both insects and other invertebrates as well as fruit. Feeding takes place from the ground to a few meters above.
Vocalisation
Song is a two or three syllable sound described as wheet-wheet-we, and call is a hard sound similar to what birds from this genus gives elsewhere.
