- Dark iridescent turquoise above
- Pale grey below
- Pale grey head and neck
- Rufous undertail coverts
Similar Species
Could be confused with sympatric Seram Imperial Pigeon (which see).
Distribution
South-east Asia: found on small islands off the Moluccas to eastern Lesser Sundas.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Subspecies aru is generally considered to be invalid[1]
Habitat
Monsoon rainforest.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit.
