Distribution
Endemic to southeast Asia: found in Indochina, Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Malay Peninsula, Brunei, Indonesia, Greater Sundas and Sumatra.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]
- H. d. neglectus:
- Northern Peninsula Thailand and Malay Peninsula
- H. d. sumatranus:
- H. d. diardii:
- Borneo, Bangka Island and Lingga Archipelago
Some of these subspecies are not recognised by all authorities[2].
Habitat
Broadleaved evergreen lowland forests, deep jungle.
