Location: Las Cruces O.T.S. near San Vito, Costa Rica.

Identification

Distribution

Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Open country with scattered trees, fields, lowland evergreen forest to 1600m.

Behaviour

The diet includes fruit and flowers.

It nests in natural cavities and 2-4 eggs are laid.

These are very social birds, often found in large groups.
