Distribution
Taxonomy
Coturnix coturnix has five subspecies:
- C. c. coturnix;
- C. c. conturbans;
- C. c. inopinata;
- C. c. erlangeri; and
- C. c. africana.
Habitat
Grassland.
Behaviour
The diet includes insects and seeds.
6-18 eggs are laid in a ground nest, and incubated for 16-18 days.
