Nesotriccus ridgwayi

Identification

13 cm. Grey olive-dark brown olive upperparts, grey buff-pale yellow below, faint buff eyebrow, dusky wings, 2 wing bars, buff edges to wing feathers, brown-olive breast, thin long dusky bill, lower mandible pale horn. Juvenile - brown, tawny wingbars and eyebrow.

Distribution

Cocos Island, Costa Rica.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Forests, scrub, swamp, and wooded ravines.

Behaviour

The diet includes insects and fruit.
