Identification

  • Mid brown upperparts
  • Whitish-brown spotted underparts
  • Greyish-white cheeks
  • Dark iris
  • Light grey bill

Distribution

Asia: western China (breeding endemic (southern Gansu to Shaanxi, Hubei, Sichuan and north-western Yunnan)), Tibet and Inner Mongolia
Southeast Asia: Indochina, and Vietnam

This is a monotypic species[1].
