Tachycineta meyeni

Identification

11-13cm. Glossy blue-black upperparts, white underparts and rump, grey underwing-coverts.

Distribution

Chile, south-west Argentina migrating to Bolivia, Paraguay and south-east Brazil.

Taxonomy

There is 1 subspecies.

Habitat

Open habitats near water, temperate grassland and pastureland.
