Description
A genus of thrushes, these are the popularly named bluebirds of the New World. They are medium sized passerines, insectivorous or omnivorous, and are are cavity nesters. Their populations have suffered locally due to competition for nest sites from the introduced House Sparrow, which can kill bluebirds.
