Identification

Green back, rufous breast and belly, dark eye mask, long decurved bill.

Distribution

Western Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Lowland rainforests.

Behaviour

The diet includes nectar, insects and spiders.
