Identification
31 cm. Green, light blue rear crown and nape, pale blue lower back and rump, scalloped shoulders with orange-brown on black coverts, blackish underwings with green underwing coverts.
Distribution
Philippines, islands off north and east Borneo and Talaud Islands.
Taxonomy
There are 4 subspecies.
Habitat
Secondary forests to scattered trees up to 1000m, coconut plantations, banana patches and mangroves.
Behaviour
The diet includes berries, seeds, nuts and grain.
They nest in tree holes.
