Identification

10-12cm

  • Fawn wings, underbelly and back
  • Sky blue head, body and longish pointed tail
  • Pink bill
  • Dark iris

Distribution

Africa:
Eastern Africa: extreme south-eastern Sudan, south-eastern Ethiopia, southern Somalia, Kenya, northern Tanzania
Southern Africa: Namibia

This is a monotypic species[1].

Lowland dry grassland, shrubland and desert.

Behaviour
