Distribution

South America: found in Colombia and Venezuela.

Taxonomy

Subspecies[1]

There are 4 subspecies

  • T. m. brachyurus:
  • Western Colombia in Western Andes and western slope of Central Andes
  • T. m. selvae:
  • Western slope of western Andes of Colombia (upper Río San Juan)
  • T. m. multistriatus:
  • Colombia (eastern slope of Central Andes and western slope of eastern and southern Andes)
  • T. m. oecotonophilus:

Habitat

Dry forests and moist montanes.
