Distribution
South America: found in Colombia and Venezuela.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 4 subspecies[1]:
- T. m. brachyurus:
- Western Colombia in Western Andes and western slope of Central Andes
- T. m. selvae:
- Western slope of western Andes of Colombia (upper Río San Juan)
- T. m. multistriatus:
- Colombia (eastern slope of Central Andes and western slope of eastern and southern Andes)
- T. m. oecotonophilus:
Habitat
Pre-montane tropical forest, dry forest borders and coffee forest. From understorey to canopy.
Behaviour
Diet
Not a lot of information available; they are thought to eat insects and possibly fruits.
