Bustard protection area Buckow

Largest research and raising station for airworthy birds in Europe. Around 80 km in west of Berlin, nearby ( 3 km )railway station Nennhausen ( on railway line Berlin to Hannover ). Possible to see losts of other birds like Cranes, Swans, White-tailed Sea Eagle, Buzzard, Red Kite, Golden Plover, Redwing, lots of Northern lapwing. Another bustards area is in Baitz nearby Belzig.

Very good chance to see bustard ( best time around 10 am ). There is a cage, if e.g. White-tailed Eagle come in this area, the Bustards hide in this. From tower between Garlitz and Buckow, You can look into this cage. Bustards are very shy, so 8x bino is the minimum, better is telescop.
