lake Schollener See

Start point is also Rathenow ( located west of Berlin, on the train Berlin - Hannover ). Follow Rathenow West to Goettlin. From this village leads a way near river Havel. The wy to Neu- Schollene is a change of meadows near river Havel and forests ( mostly monocuture ). This area is quite empty. Just the opposite is the street from Neu - Schollene to Schollene. Schollene is at the lake Schollene. There is only viewpoints near the lake, no direct access. With bino You can see White Swan, Graylag Gooses, Great-crested Crebe and also Osprey. For more birds Spectiv is recommended. Also very interesting place, follow to north of Schollene to next village ( 3 km ). After You left this village there is a way ( cycling way R3 ) on the meadows near river Havel. This way leads to Gartz. Not far are other interesting bird watching spots like river floodplains Elbtalaue and lake Guelper See ( also called Central European petrol station of migration birds ).
