- Bright green upperparts
- Yellow underparts
- Bright orange belly patch
- Azure blue wing patch
- Blue bar across the forehead above the nostrils
Distribution
Australasia: breeds south-western Tasmania; winters to coastal south-eastern Australia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
They breed in eucalyptus trees, wintering in coastal grassland areas.
Status
Critically endangered.

It nests in hollows in eucalypt trees
Diet
Diet includes the seeds of several sedges and heath plants, including buttongrass.
