Hemignathus virens

Identification

Distribution

Maui and Hawaii.

Taxonomy

Hemignathus virens has two subspecies:[1]

  • H. v. wilsoni
  • Forests of Maui
  • H. v. virens
  • Forests of Hawaii

Sometimes placed in the genus Chlorodrepanis.

Behaviour

Hawai'i 'Amakihi bred from January to March
