Identification
Male is mostly black above with white streaking while below it is white. Female has black crown with white streaks, rufous mantle and rufous-orange flanks and belly. Wings as in male.
Distribution
Brazil. By 2014 probably should be considered critically endangered as less than 250 mature individuals are known to exist.
Taxonomy
Habitat
Semi-humid forests at 200-700 m asl. Often seen higher up in the trees.
Behaviour
Typically seen as a member of mixed species flocks.
