Distribution

Breeds in western Himalayas and winters to India

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

This is one of six species that used to be considered one under the name of Golden-spectacled Warbler. After the split, the other five are Martens's Warbler, Grey-crowned Warbler, Plain-tailed Warbler, Whistler's Warbler, and Bianchi's Warbler.
