Identification

18cm

  • Rufous brown upperparts
  • White underparts
  • Buff supercilium
  • Broad long tail with thin dark bars

Distribution

Grasslands of south-western India (Western Ghats from Mysore to Kerala).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Grassy highlands. moist shrubland and swamps, 900-2,000m.
