Eastern Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi
African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)

Taxonomy

Subspecies[1]

There are 8 subspecies:

  • B. l. camerunensis:
  • B. l. lopezi:
  • B. l. barakae: *
  • B. l. boultoni:
  • B. l. mariae: *
  • B. l. usambarae:
  • B. l. ufipae:
  • B. l. granti:

An additional subspecies manengubae is not generally recognised[1].

* barakae and mariae have been split as Evergreen Forest Warbler by some authorities[2].

Habitat

Moist shrubland and montanes.
