There are 2 subspecies:
- D. b. basilica:
- Northern Moluccas (Morotai, Halmahera, Ternate, Kasiruta, Bacan)
- D. b. obiensis:
- Obi Island (central Moluccas)
Habitat
Lowland moist forests.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit.
