Identification
18.5-20 cm. Male - grey above and whitish below, black cap, white forehead, white band across the flight-feathers, black bill and feet. Female - cap is grey, black band between bill and eye, narrow white band above it. [1]

South-east Siberia, north-east China, Korea and Japan. [1]
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Has been considered conspecific with Ryukyu Minivet.
Habitat
Forest and more open areas with scattered trees. [1]
Behaviour
The diet includes insects.
4-7 eggs are laid and incubated for 17 to 18 days. [1]
Vocalisation
The call is a high-pitched, metallic trill. [1]
