Identification

Grey back, blackish wings with a patch of cinnamon-rufous, white throat outlined on the sides of the neck and the upper chest by a dark chestnut line.

Distribution

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Dry savanna and seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, damp grasslands and marshes close to streams.

Behaviour

It perches on bushes while searching for its prey.
