Identification

Male 37-38cm, female 41-42cm. Black upperparts, ash grey, dark barred chest and abdomen, longitudinal dark stripes on throat, white undertail, brown, dark banded uppertail, yellow iris, green yellow legs. Sexes similar. Distribution

Chile, western Argentina and Tierra del Fuego.
