Identification
19 cm. Green, deep blue crown and thighs, yellow face, red vent, red-and-black at base of yellow-tipped tail.
Distribution
Formerly New Caledonia. Extinct; last reported 1860
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.[1]</sup
Habitat
Montane forest or possibly lowland semi-deciduous forest.
