Identification
14cm.
Distribution
Asia: Breeds southern China (southern Shaanxi and western Hubei to Sichuan and Guizhou); winters southwestern Thailand and the Thai-Malay Peninsula
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considered conspecific with Blue-throated Blue Flycatcher.
Habitat
Sub-montane open forest and scrub and wooded areas.
