Africa:
Western Africa: southern Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: South Sudan, Uganda
African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Subspecies alleni is not recognised by all authorities[2].
Habitat
Mature secondary and gallery forests, forest edges and mangroves.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of small fruits, particularly figs, and invertebrates for example beetles and winged insects.
