- Upperparts dark brown or rufous
- Brown scapulars and wing coverts spotted white
- Underparts white with dark brown or rufous barring
Distribution
Australasia: Papua New Guinea, Melanesia
Taxonomy

- New Ireland (Bismarck Archipelago)
Habitat
Lowland forests and forest edges, wooded hills, low mountains, up to 1000 metres.

The diet is thought to include insects.
