Distribution

South America: South central Amazonian Brazil (between the Madeira and Aripuanã rivers)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].
It was described as recently as 2013

Habitat

A type of low scrub forest on sandy ground called campina.

Behaviour

Overall a poorly known species. In feeding, closely connected to the local misteltoe from which it eats the fruit, and presumably supplements with insects.
