18-19 cm (7-7½ in)
- Heavy gray bill.
- Greenish-olive overall plumage
- Orange-yellow throat down to breast
- Whitish chin
Male
Female has gray crown and nape.
Distribution
South America: found in South-east Colombia to eastern Peru and western Amazonian Brazil (east to Río Negro)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Near water in varzea forest.
Behaviour
Diet
They glean in foliage, on twigs and branches for fruit, berries and insects.
Vocalisations
Song is a series of low notes, sounding like a frog.
