Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Uganda.
Taxonomy
Formerly placed in genus Trochocercus as Trochocercus albiventris.
Subspecies
There are 5 subspecies[1]:
- E. a. albiventris:
- E. a. toroensis:
- Montane forests of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and south-western Uganda
- E. a. albonotata:
- E. a. subcaerulea:
- Eastern Tanzania to Malawi and Mozambique (north of the Zambezi)

- Eastern Zimbabwe and Mozambique (south of the Zambezi)

Moist montanes.
