Identification

9·4–10 cm

  • Olive-green upper parts
  • Yellow rump

Distribution

Found on Flores and Sumbawa in the Lesser Sundas, Indonesia.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

Two subspecies recognized[1]:

  • D. a. sumbawense on Sumbawa
  • D. a. annae on Flores

Habitat

Cultivated areas, deciduous woodland and forests.

Behaviour

Diet

Not well recorded, but appears to be nectar, fruit and pollen.
