Identification
Distribution
Southeast Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Taxonomy
This species is monotypic.[1]
Habitat
Dry forests, dry shrubland, and high-altitude shrubland.
Behaviour
It drills holes in the trunks and branches of Prosopis flexuosa and feeds on the exuded sap.
