Identification

Distribution

Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Highly endangered on both islands.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies are recognized: caniceps and leucometopia. Split by some authorities in Gray-fronted Quail-Dove (Geotrygon caniceps) and White-fronted Quail-Dove / Hispaniolan Quail-Dove (Geotrygon leucometopia).
