Identification

Distribution

Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.

Taxonomy

Polytypic. Consists of seven subspecies.

Habitat

Dry forests, moist montanes, high altitude shrubland.
