Identification

Blackish upperparts, narrow white streak on wings, reddish maroon rump, black breast band separating reddish maroon throat patch and underparts together with blue maxilla and yellow mandible diagnostic. Juvenile -Throat and breast grey-brown. From juvenile Banded Broadbill by lack of yellow on upperparts. Size-25cm.

Distribution

Myanmar and southern Indo-china through Malay Peninsula to Sumatra, Bangka, Belitung and Borneo.
