Identification
23-30cm. Ddrk brown or rufous upperparts, brown scapulars and wing coverts spotted white, white with bars of dark brown or rufous.
Distribution
New Britain and New Ireland.

Habitat
Lowland forests, tree-covered hills, low mountains, up to 1000 metres, and the edges of forests.
