Identification
Blakish upperparts,narrow white streak on wings,reddish maroon rump, black breast band separating reddish maroon throat patch and underparts together with blue maxilla and yellow mandible diagnostic. Juvenile-Throat and breast grey-brown. From juvenile Banded Broadbill by lack of yellow on upperparts. Voice-Short and coarse grating notes similar to cicades.
